Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This...

As you may have already read on a previous post, JoeysCoat is hitting the road for the holidays.  This Sunday I will join Tami Renno, of The Rusty Bus Farm, at the Antiques By The Bay, Alameda Flea Market.

If you’ve never been, with over 800 vendors neatly spread out on the tarmac of the former Naval Air Station, it is an amazing experience to say the least.

The forecast calls for sunshine (something we haven’t seen up here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest for awhile) which makes for the perfect out of doors shopping experience.

For those of you around the globe who cannot visit JoeysCoat in Alameda, joeyscoat.com is coming to you with the same Flea Market pricing - the perfect opportunity to give and receive a one-of-a-kind work of Art.

If, however, you find yourself in the Bay Area, please come and visit us on our holiday tour “debut”…

Everybody is lookin' for something...

I can't promise that I'll grow those wings
or keep this tarnished halo shined
but I'll never betray your trust

The French Grain Sack Joey Tour...

While JoeysCoat and I will be in Alameda, California the first Sunday in November, French Grain Sack Joey will be on an adventure of its own.  The special “Continental” coats have been invited to join Dani Davis, of Patine, at the non-profit organization, Summit League’s, Homes for the Holiday event November 29 and 30.

The event, a biennial fundraising house tour, features three homes in the Saratoga/Los Gatos area in Northern California -  “Top professional decorators and floral designers will donate their time and talent to enhance the beauty of these homes for the holiday season.”  This year there is an added “Marketplace” featuring jewelry, artwork, unique gifts and accessories for purchase directly from the vendors and artists.

Established in 1957, The Summit League is a non-profit organization consisting of 50 Active Members and over 60 Sustaining Members who are committed to raising funds in the areas of education, health, welfare and the arts. Over the past 50 years, more than a million dollars has been raised for charitable organizations in the Santa Clara Valley.  www.summit-league.org

The 2012 House Tour proceeds will benefit the POWER Program, initiated by Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence. For 40 years, Next Door has provided comprehensive services in our community to help victims of domestic violence and their children. The innovative POWER Program (Proud of Wanting Equal Relationships) uses social media and peer mentoring to reach out to teens with a prevention and education campaign to "stop the violence before it starts." The mission of Next Door is to "end domestic violence in the moment and
for all time."   www.nextdoor.org

JoeysCoat is honored to support this important work…thank you, Dani, for the very special invitation…

The 2012 Holiday Tour!

JoeysCoat is teaming up with Tami Renno, of The Rusty Bus Farm, and hitting the road for our inaugural “Holiday Tour”.  First stop, Sunday November 4, Alameda, California and Antiques By The Bay.

The keen eye of Tami Renno, purveyor of only the most unusual vintage items for the home, juxtaposed with the inspired, handcrafted, unique Art that is JoeysCoat, makes for a fine pairing.

Visit us in Aisle U, Space 17…we’ll be easy to spot…just look for the shiny red trailer!

The Hungarian Container Sale at Patine and the Inspiration it Wrought...

Patine, the magical shop in the sleepy little town of La Selva Beach, California…if you’ve never been, put it on your bucket list…you won’t regret it!

Owned by Eric and Dani Davis, Patine is filled with beauty - old and new, art – time-honored and contemporary, the perfectly aged brocante find one seeks out when traveling in Europe; the piece that is assigned a place of honor for all to admire as it graces its new home.

While it all seems extraordinary, this is Eric and Dani’s life…authentic, lovely, inspired…
